Get Traffic To Your Website,

7 Ways To Get Targeted Traffic

List building step 3 – get traffic to your opt-in form, squeeze page, on your website or blog is crucial in your step by step program and effort to build a targeted and responsive email list. Without traffic or visitors to your site nothing happens.

Please make sure to review my other posts on list building and make sure you get the right autoresponder.

Traffic is indeed hugely important and its importance can’t be overemphasized.

However, it needs to be stressed (and this is not done nearly enough) that the traffic you’re looking for has to be targeted.

It will do you no good if you get all kinds of traffic and the visitors to your site will leave right away because what they find is not what they were looking for.

That is why you need to do some keyword research.

#1 – Keyword Research, Search Engine Optimization-SEO

To get targeted traffic you need to use the right keywords, more specifically keyword phrases. That is how your blog or website is found in the search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing.

Search Engine Optimization or SEO is a big subject for this post but you must use keyword phrases in your titles and text that are relevant to your topic and blog or website niche.

That way the people who will land on your pages will be your targeted audience or at least will have an idea what to expect and will be interested in what they find on your site.

#2 – Write A Good And Valuable Content

Make sure you post a content that is of good value to your readers and visitors. You want them to stay and read for a while and to find such value that they will want to come back.

Make sure that your content is your original work, that you are contributing to the internet community. The search engines will reward you for originality too.

Answer your readers comments and develop a relationship with them.

#3 – Link To Websites That Are Related And Well Liked By Google

Most people will resist doing this thinking that it will cause their visitors to leave.

Some of the visitors may do so but the benefits of your site or blog reaching out and linking to other sites will far outweigh any visitor leakage.

#4 – Comment On Other Websites And Blogs

Leave valuable comments on other blogs. Please don’t just say “I agree with you” or “very nice post”. That is not a comment but a lip service amounting to a spam.

A good and valuable comment is adding value. If you can’t write comments of value that are longer than 4 lines of text don’t bother.

But good comments will get you noticed and besides getting a link to your blog or site they may even bring you some visitors.

You can also join forums related to your niche and comment there. If you do a good job at it some people will want to visit your blog or website to find out more about you and what you have to offer.

#5 – Join Social Media, Facebook, Twitter

You can find people through social media sites and form contacts and relationships there.

Whatever you do, don’t be just interested in selling your stuff. Be interested in other people, build relationships, form friendships and network.

#6 – Post Videos On You Tube

You can post videos on You Tube about yourself, your business and your hobbies.

Include your blog or website links in the video.

#7 – Put your Blog Or Website URL Into Your Email Signature

This is such an easy thing to do that you can implement it right away.

Whether you write lots of emails like most people or just one or two per day it really doesn’t matter. Once you have your email signature in place it will be there forever and people will see it every time they receive an email from you.

If they click on your URL in that email you have another visitor.

Who knows, they may even opt into your mailing list if they like your blog.

Get Traffic Conclusion:

There are of course more ways to get traffic to your website or your blog and to your opt in box inside of them.

List building step 2make free opt-in offer is the second vital step in successful list building. Without it, it will be very hard if not impossible to have people opt in to or join your email list.

(If you’ve missed List Building Step 1 – Get Autoresponder it is crucial that you go through it. And get the free e-book List Building With Alex.)

Unless you offer your blog or website visitors something valuable, they will have no reason to join your mailing list. Why would they?

And whatever you offer them needs to be free of charge. Otherwise, they are not likely to respond.

People, your site visitors, need to get a taste of what you have to offer them. They don’t know you and they most likely don’t trust you either.

People don’t like to be sold to especially by somebody they know nothing about. Even if they know you they want to check out and get a sample of what you have.

People love to buy from their friends or at least from people they know and trust.

We will get to building relationship with people that are on your list later.

Right now we need to learn about attracting them to our opt-in form and have them give you their name and e-mail.

Your opt in form should be prominently displayed above the fold of the web page and if you so choose even in the body of your post.

There are marketers who recommend displaying the opt in box up to 3 times per page.

You can point out to your opt in box and what is behind it in your post text as well like this:

To receive more free information on list building please fill out your first name and email address in the form provided and press the big button under it.

Have you opted in? I certainly hope so. If not, please do it now.

Your name and email is safe with me and will never be given out to anybody. I love and use AWeber and hate spam. AWeber is spam proof. You can opt out any time.

Make A Free Opt In Offer,

But What?

You can create your own report or e-book. It doesn’t have to be of big proportions, 5 to 50 pages is good.

Or you can offer a subscription to your newsletter.

If you are just starting like me, you can use a product that you have a license to and can give out freely.

Please make sure that you have the rights to do so in writing. Not everything that you purchase can be used in this way.

In fact it is very rare and you need to purchase the rights. Many so PLR (Private Label Rights) products can be sold but not given away for free.

Once you make sure you can use a product that you haven’t created yourself you need to ensure that it is a high quality product. Nobody will be happy with your offer if it is not.

I’m using Alex Jeffreys List Building With Alex e-book because I have been granted the rights and permission to do so.

It is an e-book of the highest quality that could easily be a required reading for all internet marketers who want to build a mailing list.

I’m currently working on my own product that I’ll be using as a free offer for list building as well. It may take from 1 month to 9 weeks to have it ready.

Once it is available all my readers will be able to get it here.

As soon as I learn how to create my own product and create it successfully I will share with you how I did it.

I hope that this post was helpful to you. Please ask any questions you may have about list building and give your suggestions in the comments.

Not everything may have been covered so far but there should be no doubt about the importance of List Building Step 2 : Make Free Opt-in Offer.

Why Learn List Building

With Alex Jeffreys Student?

To learn list building on your own is certainly possible but to avoid many mistakes,
learning along with a student of Alex Jeffreys makes good sense.

Alex has built and is building his mailing list very successfully. For him targeted opt in list and email marketing is the foundation of his activities and success.

The student, Vance Sova considers list building to be the most important activity and foundation builder for any business in general and the foundation for internet marketing business in particular.

He’s not just mimicking Alex Jeffreys. Vance has thoroughly investigated the importance of building a mailing list.

O.K., I’m Vance Sova and I’m the student. I’m learning from Alex Jeffreys and with him. The methods Alex uses work. You can get his free e-book on list building and learn his methods from it now.

But both Alex and Vance still keep learning.

Like everything else the methods and ways to build a responsive email list constantly evolve and change.

Alex is busy developing business and marketing systems and takes more global view on things. He is not much into details now. He’s in the high big league.

Vance, on the other hand, is in the process of mastering the art of list building. He is closer to your level than Alex and therefore will be thrilled to share with you everything he learns about list building as he learns it and implements it. He will share with you what works, what works the best and what doesn’t work.

Right, I’ll go back to using “I” for a while. I just get tired using it all the time.

Well, I want to share with you that building a list is both easy and hard. It is easy when you listen to people who have done it. It is very hard to do it from zero, from scratch.

Even Alex says that it is easy BUT it does take time. It took other now successful internet marketers 3 or more years to build a significant and large email list. Even Alex took more than a year.

If you read the articles available on the internet about list building you’ll find that most of them will give you points or steps that you need to implement. But they are all just a summary.

You certainly can’t implement any of them without further instructions that would tell you more closely what to do and how to do it.

Virtually everybody who touches the list building subject steers away from it very quickly.

It is not a get rich quick scheme and it is not therefore a big and popular money maker.

It could also be that the big wigs and gurus who seem to get the big chunk of internet marketing niche profits are reluctant to create more competition for themselves.

But if you and I don’t learn how to build a list we will always be at the mercy of get rich quick schemes and those who profit from them.

I’ve decided to learn everything about list building that I can from what is available on the net and from Alex Jeffreys and develop a method that anyone can follow.

Aside from Alex’s e-book I have yet to find anything that would fit the method that I just described.

If it exists I’ll find it soon and will let you know exactly where I found it. My mission will thus be accomplished and I’ll continue building my list without writing one more word on the subject.

I invite you to please let me know in your comments of any comprehensive and yet concise list building course aside from that of Alex Jeffreys.

Also, please let me know what you’d like to learn about list building and any helpful tips you may have discovered. We can all work together on this without forming a list building club. At least for now.

I looked into a list building club which is readily available on the internet and I’m not convinced that it is what I’m looking for. (That club is a paid club incidentally).

There has to be a better way.

I’m writing this post to challenge myself as well as you the readers.

Let’s learn list building with Alex Jeffreys, Vance Sova, Everybody. Let’s learn list building together.

List building steps are numerous. Step 1 is very crucial and fundamental. In order to be able to build a mailing list, to collect targeted e-mails, you will need to create an opt in box or form. To create an opt-in form you will need to get an autoresponder. The very best autoresponder service with unparalleled support that Alex Jeffreys, Vance Sova, Brian G Johnson, Marlon Sanders and the vast majority of successful internet marketers love is AWeber. I have never experienced a better service and customer support for any service or product. AWeber people make you feel like royalty and are extremely helpful.

Get Started Today For Only $1! – AWeber Communications

Another well known and apparently good company is GetResponse. You can look at both of them and any other you may find and then make your choice. Whichever company you choose, please make sure it is a good and reliable one. The two names mentioned are definitely the best.

What Kind Of Autoresponder You Don’t Want To Have:

I would strongly advise against using a free autoresponder. I’ve never used one myself but those who have say they were plagued by advertisements on it. So it really is not free and the service is nothing to rave about.

What you never want to do is to buy a cheap autoresponder of your own and put it on your server. (I’ve read pages offering such autoresponders claiming to save you money. But when I checked the links leading to the offer it was clear that they themselves used AWeber). Should you have your own autoresponder of this kind you will have to set it up yourself and maintain it. In case your server gets shut down you will be left with nothing and will have to start all over again.

What Kind Of Autoresponder You Want To Have:

What you do want is a reliable service and ease of use. You don’t need more headaches.

You want the kind of autoresponder that actually gets your e-mails delivered. With a lot of spam these days much of e-mail is filtered out as spam. Using reputable companies like AWeber and GetResponse that insist on double opt-ins will ensure that your mailings are reliably delivered.

I chose AWeber and I’m as happy as a clam.

You can do the same or you may want to use GetResponse if you like.

What I know about AWeber is this:

They will send you a physical, snail mail welcome letter with contact information. They will send you a welcome e-mail offering free webinars. They have instructional videos on how to do everything once you log in. They will most likely phone you to ask you if you need anything and giving you a toll free phone number to call in case you need help. Their help is live, real people you can talk to, no machines.

With this kind of service you won’t even need me to tell you how to use and set up the whole automated system.

I have participated in one free webinar by AWeber (they have many ) and I watched several of their instructional videos. I tend to be slow at times and having all these tools available feels like heaven. For smarter people it is sufficient if they just follow the set up wizard AWeber has.

In case you haven’t noticed, I now have an opt in box on this blog. (I have set it up by following the AWeber instructions). It is located towards the top of the page on the right side. If you haven’t done so already, please check it out and opt in to get the masterful free e-book “List Building With Alex Jeffreys”. That’s right, the list building wizard and my mentor Alex Jeffreys created it himself and it is a must read book. Alex’s approach is very unique and outrageously successful.

I hope that you have enjoyed this post on list building steps, step 1 – get autoresponder.
